Tom Hanks has become known as "America's Dad," thanks to his feel-good movie roles and kind nature. That being said, it hasn't always been smooth sailing. From his early romantic relationships to his movie flops to his own upbringing, join us as we discover the tragic real-life story of Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks is my favourite actor. The ultimate favourite actor. I've watched most of his movies. Before I read about his tragic life story written by Amy Mackelden, I came across a video of him. First I watched this.

After watching this, I went looking for the full video. I then found this.

It was the Actors Roundtablewith Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf, Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Jamie Foxx. When we watch these two videos one can only marvel at the strength that is Tom Hanks.

I have no idea where he can find this strength, this confidence, this deep belief in how things can be better, hence, This Too, Shall Pass. Not taking away from the other great actors his calming voice is very reassuring.

I myself are going through various challenges and situations yet, I too am calm. Of course being a Muslim through my prayers and spirituality I can dig deep. And having great parents that are still around that helps a lot. But they are aging and I dread the day when I will have to say goodbye to them. Then all I have left is my faith and spirituality. But I didn't go through what Tom Hanks went through, yet he have the strength to dig deep to deliver and entertain us. How does he do that? If I ever meet him, I just want to shake his hands to say thank you. Thank you for entertaining me all these years and thank you for talking to me. It feels like he was talking to me when he spoke of This Too, Shall Pass.
