Leeds shock win vs. Liverpool eases pressure on Jesse Marsch, as Klopp's woes worsen

I've been mentioning of late to turn Leeds United's playing field at Elland Road into a nice park or even car park after they suffered a streak of 8 losses. I knew they had a game last night but I didn't check against who. But being a consummate supporter since I studied in Leeds from 1989 I took a peek at the results.....

And surprise of surprise they beat Liverpool at home! They won in style too. I can't say more. I don't want to jinx it.

Why was I so hot and bothered? I supported them when they were relegated. I continued to support them when they were relegated again. I was elated when they were promoted 2 years ago. But since then they have not played according to my ideals. I don't expect them to top the league, although that will be great but I do hope that they played with more heart.

Last year they were hanging by a thread but the Angels were kind enough to give them a nudge so they won't be relegated. I hope they would change this season, but they barely scratched the surface losing one game after another against teams that in normal circumstances they would make meals out of them. Instead they continued to disappoint fans like me.

I shan't say more. I just want them to play with more heart.

I am attaching an article by Mark Ogden from ESPN.
